                                History
In 1988 Hal and Dordie Hayes owned a local restaurant called Tink's at the exit 205, off I-65. To make a little extra cash they started selling produce in the parking lot off the back of a flat bed truck. As their business grew, Hal and Dordie started leasing small orchards of peaches and plums so they could be more in control of their supply of produce.
The business continued to grow and so did the popularity of peaches off the 205 exit. The restaurant business was taken over by Waffle House, but Hal and Dordie continued to sell produce at their little roadside stand. They now owned a lot of land and decided they wanted to expand their family owned and operated business. They named their new venture Todd's Produce after their son. Through the years they accumulated more land and now grow almost 100 percent of the produce they sell. Todd's Produce now includes an ice cream parlor where you can get some of the best homemade ice cream in Central Alabama, a unique gift shop for those little things that you don't need but want very badly, and still homegrown produce, picked fresh daily by Hal and Todd. Dordie will be at the stand, so stop by and see her. They plant it, they prune it, they pick it, and they serve it to you fresh everyday.
